After many years working in IT, database administration and knowledge management roles, I embarked on a History degree at the University of Reading. Since then, I have completed an MA(Res) in Medieval Studies and a PhD in Medieval Studies, both also at University of Reading. The many years I have spent in academia have taught me to write with clarity and accuracy, to ensure that my ideas are effectively communicated to my readers, and I can help you do the same with your own texts.
I have extensive experience of working with references, footnotes and bibliographies, and as well as being a part-time lecturer in History, I am co-editor of the journal Reading Medieval Studies.
I am a member of the CIEP (Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading), and have completed several courses through the Institute:
- Proofreading 1: Introduction
- Proofreading 2: Headway
- Proofreading 3: Progress
- Proofreading Theses & Dissertations
I am able to proofread academic work (preferably in Humanities subjects), as well as business and marketing material, and websites.
